This postcard was sent in July of 1912. The recipient got many postcards from her family and friends. I am thankful that they were saved.

The script, "what's in a kiss?", which I'm guessing is what he is saying to her as she is obviously resisting as she is bent over backwards. In that day and age, her reputation and self-esteem would have been at stake. If he was a true gentleman and concerned about her reputation, he wouldn't be pressing for a kiss and he would not have her in that compromising position. He is telling more about his lack of morals that he realizes.
