I have been trying to find some green insulators that are green instead of the usual blue green color and found two. They were 2 for $5. Perhaps one and a half. Got a green Star beehive and a McLaughlin 20 which is also known as CD 164.
McLaughlin insulators were made from 1920-1935. The factory was in Vernon, CA which is near the are known as East LA.
This is not the most valuable of all insulators but I got my moneys worth on it. Apparently the color is called "sage".
If I recall correctly Star insulators were made in the early 1900s by 4 different companies. The beehive is also known as CD 145.
Could have made two posts out of this but I can always make two posts out of something else.

Insulators are going for $5 and up where I live and many are pretty chipped. I did find a couple of Hemingray clear insulators for $2.99 today, but one was so badly chipped that I passed on that one.

Like the display Brian some insulators sell for a lot of money a friend of mine paid 22k at an action add the juice 20% is what Klingensmith charges close to 27k it was for the best example of an upside down EC&M he sold it a few years later for 30k

Thank you very much kwqd. It's getting hard to find the less common ones but they are still affordable.

Thank you very much Newfld. I will try and expand that display.

Thank you very much OLECODY. I think that is a bit more than I would pay for an insulator. Would be a good flip .
