I also picked these up today. They are old Villeroy and Boch plates. Not sure about specific dates on these. They are not in the best shape, with lots of crazing. Any info is appreciated

Mrstyndall, Sometimes it's great when somebody 'loves' an old post, and brings it back to the front page, so other people who might have missed it the first time around get to see it. :-)

I love botanical prints, and Villeroy & Boch china. <3

I haven't found that exact pattern (replacements dot com's new-ish tool didn't help), but the back stamp on yours looks like one from 1874 - 1909 (except it doesn't have the pattern name in the little semi-circle):

Used between 1874 and 1909, with 'GESCHÜTZT' (registered). 'RENA' was the series.

Neither did I find a central collection or database of V&B registration numbers (yours looks like either "J044," or "1044). :-(

However, this V&B history is worth a read. Among the interesting tidbits in it: Vincent Van Gogh was friends with a member of the Boch family, painted his portrait, and took it with him whenever he traveled.

Another interesting tidbit is that V&B made tiles for the Holland Tunnel in NY/NJ.
