This is about 3" high. It is a bit tall for a toothpick so maybe it really has no purpose besides being a beautiful thing. This little piece has a presence very much out of proportion to its size. It sits in my kitchen window facing east, so the morning sun sets it on fire. I look at it every day as prepare my coffee and breakfast. It is an amazing little piece of glass. Most of it is a reddish orange, but the base is yellow. It is a fairly recent find, found since I retired in February. Probably from one of the West Virginia glass makers, but I don't know which one.

I think that is it, TallCakes. I compared the dimensions in that auction to my piece and they are spot on. I am including the seller's description because it is so close to my description:

      "Description
Kanawha Amberina Toothpick Holder Art Glass Vase Red Yellow Amberina crackle glass
      3" tall 2 1/4" diameter.

A gorgeous Kanawha art glass vase or toothpick holder in Amberina. Stunning colors of orange, red and yellow in a clear crackle glass finish. These red into yellow colorations are called amberina. Hand blown in West Virginia it has a fairly smooth pontil. Partial label is still attached.
A beautiful piece of vintage hand blown glass in the most desired amberina colors. Vase is 3" tall and 2 1/4" in diameter at the mouth.

The vase or toothpick holder is in excellent condition. No nicks, chips or cracks. Colors are wonderful, especially if kept in a window. Some people call these art glass pieces window glass because the sun coming in makes these pieces glow."
