Did a quick image search for this but did not come up with another example of this wierd wacky and kind of creepy monkey lamp. Anybody ever see one before?

The switch reminds me of some from the 60's, could be newer or earlier. Maybe keep wathcing movies and you may see it in some older movie. Very odd, something you see once in a lifetime !~
the bellhop attire along with the bamboo and acanthus leaf motifs seem appropriate for a tropical hotel/motel lobby setting. Very interesting torchiere lamp...
