    I picked up this plate in South Carolina a couple years ago.
    They were issued by the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Dept. To Shrimp Trawlers
    They switched to Stickers in the 80's
    Any other info you have would be helpful.

      These tags are issued to the vessel (not the fisherman, who must also be licensed), and stay with the vessel as long as it remains in the trade; the numbers are not transferable.

      Thank you for the info. We spend Jan. in Myrtle Beach and buy our shrimp off the trawler in Calabash N. C. YUM!!!
