This vase measures 7.75" high x 6.5" long x 4.5" wide. D. Chapman was an artist who worked for Pilgrim Art Glass. I am still researching him. This vase is made of black glass with a white glass overlay on both sides and the bottom. It has a ground top which has been smoothly finished and polished. It is a fairly heavy piece of glass, weighing in at about 3 lbs. I paid $1.50 for it at a thrift shop today. I almost dropped it several times when I was washing it because it is highly polished inside and out and handles like a greased pig. It is even fairly slippery when dry. There is a bit of very minor scuffing on the bottom. A nice chunk of glass, though, and I was really lucky today. It was marked down to 75% off so it must have been at the shop for quite a while, but I never saw it before today. I probably would have paid full price if I had.
