Carved bakelite tube bangle circa 1930's. Found at a junk store in Asheville, North Carolina's "River Arts District" last week. 1/2" thick and wide. Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking friends.

Gorgeous bangle with super carvings! Looking quite happy near the cool graffiti bridge
great photo of you!
How lucky can you get?
In a junk store? I'm telling you I have to start hitting the thrifts around here.
I just never find anything...
This is beautiful classic black, and to think it's nearly 90 years old!
I'm so glad it wound up with our "plastic fantastic lady".
Good going Mary!
Jenni - I love this bangle, the price was reasonable, not as cheap as I like but when I travel, I splurge a bit. Have 4 other similar carved tubes in different colors - looks great with them. The area is full of warehouses made into art galleries, pubs, a skate park, Some of the artists contributed to the grafitti - very colorful, but I wanted to blur my face a bit. LOL
Ivonne - thank you! I actually approve of this photo.
Eileen - yes, in a big junky, dusty warehouse. Same place I got the stamp box. It's not easy to find "cheap" black bakelite. I am happy to have it for awhile before it passes on to someone else.
Another nice piece of treasure, I love the grafitti black and white shot also !~
Looking fabulous Mary and the bangle is great too:))
Phil - thank you - in the world of collecting bakelite (1=best-5=good) this is probably a 4. But adding a bunch of these tubes together makes them special.
Judy - thank you! I liked this photo and felt okay to share it. Yes, I love the bangle!
Thank you friends for loving bakelite: Vnyl, Fort, Hel1, Gudrun, foseatme, watchsearcher, aura.
Classic beauty!
Thank you Elisabeth! It's not as nice as your wide black carved bracelet, but what I can afford because black goes for $$$. Understandable because black is classic like you said. XOXO
Thank you AnnaB, Vynil33rpm, worthit for your loves.
Yay! Happy Mary! You look as beautiful as your black bangle :-D
Thanks Kyra for saying I'm beautiful (ha ha ha....oh well) and yes, a nice addition to my plastic obsession....
Thank you friends for your loves: Sean and truthordare :-)
