I found this metal box at the RAD (River Arts District) Asheville, NC last week. 3"x1.75" with transitional Art Nouveau - Craftsman motifs on 4 sides and the lid. Background photo 1, 2: Gustav Klimt, "Music" 1895. Thank you truth or dare for your ID of stamp box!! The desk set you linked is amazing....I thought it was a pill box. I love CW experts!!
The last pic was taken of a downtown bldg. from the top level of the parking garage by the Flatiron (disappointing, not like NYC or Omaha, NE Flatiron bldgs.) ANYWAY, I love the blue and yellow tiles and the weather drips from the parking garage's concrete wall.

Thank you welzebub for your love!
Mary it looks like an antique stamp box which would have been part of a fancy Art Nouveau desk set. I love it - gorgeous.
Such as this Tiffany example, with the small stamp box partially open in the middle of the image.

truthordare - thank you so much!! How exciting to learn it was part of a set!
This is lovely.
They really knew how to make things so many years ago....
The box really is a beauty, I am sure envious !
I love this! I would have thought Art Deco but that's just what I think all the good stuff should be called! haha It's just beautiful!
A beautiful little stamp box Mary, love it:)
Eileen - yes it is, thought it was a pill box!
Phil - yes, it was $6. I think the seller thought it was 70's revival.
Share - thank you for loving it too, I am not sure what it should be called either :)
Judy - thank you for loving it!!

Nice box love little boxes like this to keep treasures in so nice to see some towns save the historic buildings here in Redding Ca. they took a wrecking ball to all of them in the 60s-70s

Thank you olecody - wouldn't it be cool if it was Tiffany, oh well, nope but nice and I love it. Hate to hear of old historic buildings gone to the wrecking ball.

Noticed this wonderful box again, at first I couldn't understand pic, 2. I thought she was holding the box! Brain said it's almost as big as she is - looked closer, and duh! Brain needs more tea.
