I bought this little thingy and have no idea what it is. Is it a vase, a small decanter without stopper, a large perfume bottle...
The thingy (I am not sure what to call it) has an unpolished pontil mark. At the base, the glass is smooth but then turns into some some kind of satin finish.

    Thanks for looking:)

I believe many of these glass Victorian style bottles were made during an age where men and women used several types of products for their personal grooming.

I have one of these much like your's in white satin opaline with pink and gold decorations. There probably was a glass top, lid or cap. The colors seem to indicate a woman's usage.

When you see full sets of these Victorian vanity items, there are multiple bottles and boxes, we have no idea what they were all used for. Thanks for posting.

I decided to post mine, as you inspire me to find out what you had, and at the same time, identify mine. :-)

Truthordare, thanks for your insightful comment. I hope we will both learn more about our bottles. Although, on the first look, our bottles look different, I can see many similarities in the design. I believe that both might be made around the same time, possibly even by the same maker. Thanks for sharing.
