This 2" whimsical archer brooch appears to be a Robin Hood design, with a white rhinestone bow & multi autumn colored rhinestone body on silvertone, by Bogoff (1946-1959). Beside a 5 1-2" frosted aqua Sagittarius plate with a painted child archer & stars design and orig vintage label on front, the back has the Nov 23-Dec 21 Sag time period, by Westmoreland Glass

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Robin Hood isn't a character I'd associate with brooches but this is really great- I love his pose- like he's just about to load up an arrow into his bow and shoot down something(What is that something though?....)
I'm actually reminded of an archery tournament in Scotland where they have to vertically shoot a wooden parrot from the tower of a church. A Scottish word for a parrot is called a 'popinjay' Maybe Robin is actually aiming up at a popinjay?!...
