    This is a Dutch mourning brooch, made of sterling silver and hair of the deceased.
    Marked with the old Dutch sword.

    The image is made of hair. On the tombstone GV. It's impossible to find out who GV was.

    It's a little sad to find a brooch like this in a thrift store.
