Bottom of table stamped twice with 286. What kind is it, where was it made? How old is it?

Rococo revival style, popular in the late 19th century, but this one is much newer. Not much effort has gone into making the tabletop veneer pattern fit. Could have been made anywhere in the world. Probably second half of the 20th century.

Nothing rococo revival about this table,

Have to agree with PhilDMorris. Quarter Sawn Oak, sometimes referred to as Tiger Oak, Lamp table from the the Golden Oak Period Late 1890's through the mid 1920's. American industrial age. Does not look like veneer, as the grain goes all the through to the bottom of the table.

Have a look at rococo furniture and you'll see where the inspiration comes from.
