First I thought it will be easy to track down how old and where from, but I have searched for hours to find a similar piece like this Anthropomorphic vessel without a result. There are similarities with some pre columbian pieces I saw while searching. But I have seen similarities with vessels from Africa and Asia as well. The pattern looks a little like it might be from Asia but the form like south american
It would be fantastic to get your thought about this piece.

Bear in mind, I know nothing as such. Looks Central, South American or Mexican to me. I think you have a winner there. I very much hope someone out there can help you!

You may like to contact The British Museum, although a big player, they are very helpful and have assisted me twice in the past, when I was convinced I had something good I was unable to ID
