Picked this Quaint 28" size Alligator Dome top Trunk up last month with my Romadka trunk...All the great die-cast hardware. I call it 1890's judging by the back hinges patented in 1891. Body metal condition is superb, with the back having almost all of the original gold finish, which is just interesting to see as a large swatch of what it use to be, rather than a tiny glimpse of the original color. No maker label. It measures 28" L x 16" D x 20" Tall. Has good working lock Pat. Oct 2, 1883 and Apr. 8, 1884 on the underside with key. Complete & very descent interior tray. They made this one with no lid on the left side of the top tray but still put the decal on the bottom of the tray for proper aesthetics, in case you are wondering. The only issue on this trunk is the lid lift is cracked/ broken other than that good to go. The one photo shows just a size comparison to the 34" for proper understanding as a photo by itself doesn't really distinguish this factor. This is my first 28" barrel top with all the proper trimmings and condition...so I was pretty happy to come across and acquire this one.
