Found this large string of pearls. Measures 46 inches long with a bunch of different sizes, shapes and color. I don’t know pearls well so I can’t tell if there saltwater or freshwater.

saltplastic or freshplastic looking. The joiners look especially cheap, Hope that I am wrong.

Thanks Phil, they seem real when I scratch them on my tooth and seem heavier than plastic. But I suppose I should just get them looked at to be sure lol.

I buy gemstones and beads at shows like Gemfaire and Tucson and have bought pearls like these - pretty - not great quality. Anyway, mine aren't plastic, your's aren't either. Some vendors sold long knotted string of pearls...they were very inexpensive, maybe $30, that is what I think you have. I would like to know more about them too. Let us know if you take them to an expert.

I love these cheap long ropes! Very useful to wear my brooches as clasp!
Chinese cultured freshwater pearls, this shape is often named "ringed potato" :-D

If they are plastic, some of them look a lot like Baroque pearls. Maybe otherwise called "Ringed Potato"! A very long string - Baroque pearls are expensive.
