This 2 1-2" brooch and 1" clip earrings set are of sparkling clear rhinestone deer w/ bright antlers & red eyes, in a silvertone setting. By Ora, founded in 1921, all pieces are marked which makes them post 1940

Funny that Newfld- Me and my granddad were just discussing deer- he just seen two at the bottom of a field over the weekend! But anyway these are lovely- deer seem to be so seasonal!!!

Great comment Thomas, it's the same near me, deer everywhere! They are beautiful animals of nature and so peaceful, I love their pictures on Christmas cards at this time of year
Thank you Lauren for the always wonderful comment, I agree that deer seem to be seasonal, I think they prefer the colder weather like now as they are seen about more lately near me. Also, pictures of them seem to often show snow on their noses or faces, this is one reason I liked this brooch, the sparkly stones on silver remind me a bit of a snowy deer!

You know the hunter thing did cross my mind - as a kid I went on a field trip to Teddy Roosevelt's Sagamore Hill which was loaded with mounted game and bearskin rugs, I ADORED it! - but I prefer to see these as living deer that are so beautiful and gentle. If only they would find a way to neuter the overpopulation, much more humane
