My collection of cameos has grown over time as seen in the photos, I believe they are the most unique pieces of history, but there are so many I get dizzy trying to figure out their origin on line. One site leads you to another, and another, etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a reference book (s) so I don't get dizzy? Your suggested guidance is much appreciated.

The cameo of the Three Graces is an artificial man made material:

The next two are conch shell. Limoges porcelain. Two that are helmet shell. The two rings & the one other cameo that color are coral. The stickpin looks like hardstone (agate) but could be glass. The one with the speckled back is tiger cowrie & the remaining two are also helmet shell.

One of the conch shell pieces does not show well in any of the photos, but looks like she could be a Flora type. None of the coral pieces is shown well enough to make a guess.
I must have two shelves worth of books on cameos & do not recommend any of them for collectors of modern cameos. It is more educational and less expensive to look on line at cameos in museum collections, particularly the British Museum, the V&A, the Met and the Walters.

Cameosleuth I can not thank you enough for the guidance and direction that you provided me to continue my research on these beauties. Just knowing the material/content of what they are made of is A LOT of information in it's self. I thought the one piece stood out because it is not as pretty or well made as the others and that one is the three dancers.
After my work is done tomorrow, I can sit and read, view, and enjoy.

You are very welcome. I am always happy to promote an appreciation of cameos. While it is not the one with the most monetary value, the one I find the most interesting because the least common is the little cowrie shell piece of an Italian fisherman walking along the shore with his net. It is the way it has been cut to suggest a scallop shell that gives it a whimsical touch.
I agree with you, this cameo is not only the most interesting one, but I believe the most beautiful one.
The ladies are EXQUISITE, but the little fisherman tells a story on a little shell, how beautiful is that!
