thinking spring here I guess. I found this 3.75" long brooch at that little thrift shop's sale in December. I don't see one exactly like it in Pitman's Juliana Jewelry reference book. There is one ( also labeled unsigned) in Tracy Tolkien's book. In the clip earring tray at the sale there were green rhinestone earrings in the same color but a single rhinestone in the center and they were signed Tara. ( I guess I should have bought the earrings, but I can't really wear them and they were gone when I went back to look for them. If this pin was originally Tara, I read in the Juliana book that Delizza and Elster did manufacture for Tara. And surprisingly, this brooch is identical (except the color is different) to a Weiss brooch on eBay. (number 392131661142). I'd appreciate hearing your opinion on this one.

This is a lovely springtime brooch!
I do believe you have a Weiss here.
D & E made jewelry for literally 100's of companies including, yes, Tara, Celebrity, KJL, just to mention a few. I would of grabbed those earrings! I have a blue set D & E made for Tara, there's also a green & pink set I want to get. These sets are in the Tara catalog and they are called Spring Song circa 1965 I believe...
I have never seen a D & E flower brooch with three rhinestones at the bottom of the stem...
      ( such a nice touch)
This is just my two cents..maybe three I've gone on too long :)
Go to Isitjulianajewelry ( all one word) click on brooch & then click on flowers & leaves, there's about 20 pages of flower brooches, these are verified, so definitely D & E. Look close, it might be there, but I really think you have a beautiful Weiss here my friend :)

Eileen, I'm sure you're right. I looked at the site you recommended and nothing there exactly like this. It does however match that signed Weiss I found on eBay. The stem treatment is quite distinctive with the little rhinestones at the bottom. Yes, it's a shame I lost out on the earrings, but better luck next time.

I would have said Weiss also, they made a lot of flower designs with set stones, beautiful !~

Great research from Eileen and nice comments from Jenni and Phil. So pretty! Something to think about "buy the earrings and send them on to another collector, LOL" - (if the price is right of course).

Great idea! I was so thrilled to receive my Trifari brooches from Jenni! If one finds something another collector loves, and like you said, at a good price, it's a wonderful idea to pass it on. Giving brings so much my book. :)

Looking forward to passing some things on. How do you do it? Do you just post them or email?

I think you would ask to chat off CW and go from there.
