Kramer necklace and bracelet, circa 1953.
"The Alexandria Collection" whichs consists of SIX sets!
Both necklace & bracelet are semi-rigid and consist of a princess cut center stone on the top tier followed by baguettes and chatons and at the end of the row a small pear shape stone in the rigid center. The next tier on both pieces has chatons, and finally the bottom tier has chatons with a beautiful gold scalloped edge. All prong set, no glue here! That's three tiers!
The bracelet has two rows of baguettes with alternating chatons with a baguette topped clip-in closure. The necklace also has baguettes & chatons ending with a pear stone with a chaton-topped hook.
Both pieces are in mint condition & signed Kramer of N.Y.
I thank our friend Phil, fore if not for him, I most likely would never have understood the importance of these magnificent color-changing stones in the costume jewelry world! They really are a sight to behold!
A soft Blue in natural light to a lovely lilac in artificial light!
Thank you Phil!
Edit: I tried to take photos in natural & artificial light so you can see the difference in the color changing
. It's been cloudy & raining, so the natural light ( blue) is kinda dark :(
UPDATE: KRAMER MADE WAY MORE THAN SIX SETS, at this point no idea how many as I keep spotting new designs. I’ll keep ya posted! (Pun intended)
