Kramer necklace and bracelet, circa 1953.
"The Alexandria Collection" whichs consists of SIX sets!
Both necklace & bracelet are semi-rigid and consist of a princess cut center stone on the top tier followed by baguettes and chatons and at the end of the row a small pear shape stone in the rigid center. The next tier on both pieces has chatons, and finally the bottom tier has chatons with a beautiful gold scalloped edge. All prong set, no glue here! That's three tiers!
The bracelet has two rows of baguettes with alternating chatons with a baguette topped clip-in closure. The necklace also has baguettes & chatons ending with a pear stone with a chaton-topped hook.
Both pieces are in mint condition & signed Kramer of N.Y.
I thank our friend Phil, fore if not for him, I most likely would never have understood the importance of these magnificent color-changing stones in the costume jewelry world! They really are a sight to behold!
A soft Blue in natural light to a lovely lilac in artificial light!
    Thank you Phil!
Edit: I tried to take photos in natural & artificial light so you can see the difference in the color changing
. It's been cloudy & raining, so the natural light ( blue) is kinda dark :(
UPDATE: KRAMER MADE WAY MORE THAN SIX SETS, at this point no idea how many as I keep spotting new designs. I’ll keep ya posted! (Pun intended)

So beautiful! Great research, love the ad too. Love the soft blue colors too. Where did you find this? I love stories of the hunt, find and buy! I wish there was a TV show on jewelry treasures. Geez, one more excuse to keep me on my sofa? LOL

The baguettes make it look almost chunky, and yet perfect in this most beautiful set !~

I sometimes get the best colour change when my blinds are drawn in that darkened light !~

Wow Eileen, what an exquisite set, congratulations! I am amazed at how it's been put together with what could be bulky elements but retains delicacy.
I have some neodymium glass and still find the colour change magical. To have it with jewellery is fantastic!

More metal than Sherman used but almost better this design which is wonderful. I am not sure of Sherman's use of baguette stones in this colour but as far as baguette stones are concerned this set could give any name brand a run for its money, superb !~

Love the ad also, beautiful. Its fitting that its called the Alexandria collection since it features those wonderful alexandrite stones, magnifique !~

Actually yikes, they made some great pieces if you google Kramer alexandrite jewelry !~

      Yes, Phil!
I have been researching the past few days and have found most of the "six sets" in bits & pieces. They are pretty pricey, though worth it. There's even a set with dangle beads and another with monster stones. I'm so excited, I want them all. ( typical collector) I will be patient amd keep looking, but my goal is all six sets. First I need the brooch to this set, plus earrings. I have found several, but they were all verdigris :(
      So I wait...
      See what you started? :)
      One other word...
Kramer made some lovely Alexandrite jewelry, but there's not a piece out there that will surpass your Alexandrite bracelet! ( you know, my favorite of your pieces) Let's all face it, Sherman was tops, but I will be satisfied with a close 2nd. with the Kramer Collection.

      Thank you Jenni, my friend!
Your words always mean the world to me, but then you know that, right dear? :)
And always a first responder with the kindest words, for everyone here on CW!

Hi Mary, I have been eye-balling this jewelry for a while. I lost out on an amazing deal a while back, but this one was even better. See what comes to people that wait? Ha! Just waiting to find a good deal, and I did. I was the only bidder on these, and there were several people watching. Lucky me, but I did console the seller and told him I was a collector, and that they would never be resold. He sent me a a New Years Card in my package with a thank you!

MrsT... I believe it's beautiful as well, you should see it in person! My photos are terrible, but when working with a tablet camera....

Share, I thank you and am glad you like my Alexandrite!

Maureen, such wonderful kind words, my friend. It is so pretty in person. I kept going from the dining room ( natural light) into the bathroom ( artificial light) to watch the color changes, silly me! So excited!

Broochman, yes, this set was taken care of. But I have seen in the past days pieces during research that were not. So sad to ruin beautiful jewelry. I thank you for realizing just how wonderful it is to find pieces so old, yet look new like our expert finder Jenni! I have never seen even the slightest blemish on her pieces!

Karen, yes, the middle parts of the two are rigid and slightly domed. Kramer made some beautiful jewlery,( and some not so) but this I'm in love with, thanks to Phil.

And thank you for all the loves dears, so very kind!
Makes me feel good to show something so beautiful!

This color and style is SO gorgeous! I love how the color changes too. Love the geometric shape of rhinestones - but you can wear your new earrings with this too :-)

      Thank you Mary!
      Me too, me too!
I just love this stuff, right?
The earrings go with the necklace & bracelet,
just need the brooch to complete this set.
Then it's on to the next one, I want them all, Ha!
    17. valentino97 valentino97, 3 years ago
That's what drives us - to complete the set in our crazy fun search. I get it :-)

Eileen, I saw a nice clear rhinestone thermo or lucite white clamper on ebay for decent price. It is not marked Weiss, but very pretty.

The design and use of the baguettes here is design perfection. It is nice to come back here and see more Kramer style you never get tired of seeing. One thing I can say about you is that you know how to pick the best Kramer pieces !~

      Awe, Thank you Phil!
When you first turned me on to “alexandrite” crystals, the Kramer pieces were pretty easy to get your hands on. I know we don’t talk monetary here, but I bid real high to get these as there were several watchers. Imagine my surprise when I was the only bidder and won these at the starting bid...$49! Now you can’t touch one piece under $100, it’s nuts on how the price has risen on these Alexandrite pieces! Glad I started collecting when I did. THANKS TO YOU!!

I have a full parure set like this, except my center stone is round.
All the pieces are in great condition and I would like to sell it but I don't know the best place to list such a nice collection. Any suggestions?
    22. WalkDontRun91, 2 months ago
Thank you for the heads up, Ms.CrystalShip. I knew we couldn't sell on this site but didn't know we couldn't discuss it at all!

At least that used to be the case. Doesn’t seem quite fair considering there is Ebay ads all over our posts now,( CW SHOP)....,huh?
