These date to around the 1970s and all have been made by Iwatsu Glass, either under their Hineri or Art Glass brands, or under consignment to Kamei Glass.
It's taken me years to be able to definitively attribute this glass to Iwatsu, and I still have trouble persuading others of my surety. The trouble is Iwatsu have been out of business for about 30 years, as has Kamei, and information is hard to find. Very small steps, often backward before I can move forward.
They all show great Iwatsu colours, either intense or muted, with the yellow, pink, and blue allowed to mix to make other colours.
They seem pretty popular, particularly amongst Japanese glass collectors, and it's easy to see why. Nicely made, beautiful to look at.
These range in height from 16cm to 26cm.

These are SO appealing, Karen, so much of their time and yet so different from the sommerso glass being produced in the West at that time. Assuming they are all yours they must brighten your day on a regular basis :)

They were all mine but I've sold two recently Peggy, not that anyone could tell from the amount of glass left. I have a problem, but I'm not unhappy about it! In the right place with light behind them, they are particularly joyful, well said, so thanks!

Jenni it is quite neat to see similar decor in different shapes. Glad you like them and I'm glad you commented!

Yeah, rainbow glass is yummy for sure, and I think the Japanese did it very well. Thanks IL!

Ivonne the subtlety of the last ones colours is good, and the twisted shape is wonderful. Gad you found a favourite!

Hi Karen, we really miss you & your beautiful glass on CW, hope you are doing well. Come back soon, and if you know Judy (Tassiedevil) please give her a big hello from me too - missing my Aussie friends! - Jenni
