What is the history of this piece of furniture, age, and value? I believe the wood is oak. My mother loved antiques and she purchased this years ago and I have no clue what it is.

Very nice chair - because there is no label, the piece could of come from 1 of hundreds of makers, which about 99% left no records of all.
