Hey lundy, according to Kovels Hummel's are not a good value item for collectors, only larger, or older ones, but here's a link to CW's information on that may help you:

      I hope this helps! :^)

lundy, What billretirecoll says about Hummels not being a good value item for collectors is correct:

      *snip*

Hummel figurines once sold for hundreds of dollars apiece, but the generation that appreciated these little porcelain statues is now downsizing or dying off, dumping Hummels back into the market by the thousands.

Younger generations have little interest in buying them. Most used Hummels now sell for no more than $75 in shops, with prices likely to continue to fall as more Hummels reach the market.

Other cute little figurines have suffered a similar fate. Precious Moments figurines, sold as collectibles, now have very little monetary value.

Exception: Certain rare Hummels, such as those taller than 12 inches or those made before 1949, still can fetch four figures.

      *snip*

This figurine is a HUM #88, Heavenly Protection. A casual search of the Internet suggests that HUM #88/II has been retired, so that would make it more valuable than some other figurines.

As both Newfld and I suggested in comments on your Apple Tree Boy post, "The Official M.I. Hummel Price Guide: Figurines & Plates" by Heidi Ann Von Recklinghausen is a good resource for learning more about your Hummels:
