Can anyone tell me what this is and where does it originate from? I think it's a smoking device but not sure. I know nothing about antiques so all the help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like an antique copper/brass hookah. It is a smoking device and they're returning in popularity. They originated in the middle east/ Asia so places like Persia, India, etc. I cannot make out the decorative details to give you a more specific origin but it is a very cool piece.

This pipe is made of brass, no copper in it. I think my pictures aren't doing it justice. It's all brass, with this very detailed design engraved in it, and it has red paint in and around the design. I've seen similar pipes online but nothing shaped just like this one so I can't determine where it comes from.

Looks like maybe someone made it with existing parts.
