      The spool turnings became popular in the US during the Victorian era, but I believe your example is from the 20th century (1930s- 50s).

      A photo of the bottom may help to confirm the age.

      Based on the bottom, it looks even more modern.

      I'd think 1950s is about the oldest but maybe into the 1970s.
