Is today your birthday? Today, January 21st is Christian Dior's birthday. I'm posting some Christian Dior earrings. Both are signed Chr.Dior and copyright c. I love that the blue crystals are prong set and not glued. I wish I had the necklace. I believe these both date from the 1980s or 90s? He was born January 21, 1905.

Very nice. These are NOT prong set as you would see the prongs hanging over the stone. They tried to replicate the use of prongs in a lot of jewelry bit if you look close you can see the "prongs" are the fake kind. They made a lot of piece like this. Most jewelry by this maker, the use of aprongs were gone by the time they were in business.
