This is a small, very thinly-potted and glazed pot - signed on the bottom. I've seen that signature before, but can't read it. I found another one with it which i'll post next. The blue one is 3.5 inches across and 1 inch high.

I keep going back to look at these 2 lovely little pots. So beautifully proportioned and thin-walled with simple glazes....and that hard to read maker's signature....something rings a bell here.
I think the signature says "BADE".
I have several beautiful pieces of pottery by John Bade of Hawaii but my pieces have been signed by using a brush and stain or paint, not incised with a tool as yours have been.
I suggest you send him pictures to ask if he will confirm this as his work.
You can probably still contact him thru the Louis Pohl Gallery in Honolulu where some of his work is sold, or Linekona in Honolulu where, I believe, he teaches.

I don't know why he doesn't sell online. He used to sell at art shows in Hawaii but I don't live there any more to know if he still does that. On a trip there a few years ago, I met him at Louis Pohl Gallery so I could buy something of his that I had wanted for several years. When I've gotten in touch with him about other things I wanted, it was by calling the gallery and writing letters to him there....it worked and I got what I wanted.
I've never seen a web address for him- that's why I suggested going thru the gallery or Linekona where he teaches.
When I learn more about how to post pictures on CW, maybe I can post some of his work. But since he doesn't post his own things, I think I should get his permission first.
