Here is a 1 1-2" raised rhinestone heart brooch with a winged golden cupid at center in a goldtone setting by Hattie Carnegie (1918-1979) ca 1950s. Next to a burgundy glass 4 1-4"H heart shape vase from Blenko Glass w/orig vintage label

Great pairing: just in time for Valentines!

I couldn't resist that- it's from Edgar Allan Poe's The Telltale Heart, which is his favourite story of mine and I was reminded of the image of a wine beating heart being tore up and shown to the horrified policemen (an image that has stayed with me for years because I was probably WAY too young to read the story in the first place!)
But your heart is lovely, so wine and dark and deep and somewhat so smooth looking!

Gee thanks Eileen, you got me, it's my usual holiday theme post, I thought the Carnegie heart went well with the Blenko so why not right, the brooch cupid was super shiny so I had to get it on a darker background but so glad you enjoyed, thanx for the superb compliments
