If you are a lover of round and oval tube radios from the 1930-40s, you will find this Simplex D Deluxe tombstone very attractive. This is the only complete model of this type that its original wooden back panel. In all of our travels, we have come across a few of these models so we have to presume it is relatively rare radio.
Do you see the similarity in cabinet design with the Ingram Cabinet makers of Bristol CT.? Its just a gorgeous cabinet.
The cabinet measures 16"H X 13"W.
What a GORGEOUS old radio!! :-) :-) :-) Is that a 'magic eye' tube at the top of its dial?? <drool> Have you done any 'restoration' work to it, and/or do you know if it still operates??
