I am not a jewelry lover so I have no idea if this necklace is vintage or not. It is not magnetic. There's a symbol (see the round thing in the middle of the necklace) which I assume it is a logo of a jewelry maker (but I am not so sure either). I would appreciate to share what you think it is and thank you.
I would first try to determine what kind of metal it is. If it is gold it would have a stamp on it indicating the karet. Usually the stamp would be on the clasp.
No, not with that lobster clasp. Made not earlier than 1992. Not being magnetic only means there is no ferrous metals used in it's production. Can you edit your post and add a close up of the hang tag. You can post up to four photos here, so the more the better. If you do not see a "925" mark anywhere then it's very likely to be costume.
@Efesgirl... It doesn't have any 925 marks so I know it is not silver. What interesting though was...I went thrifting today and found a charm from a bag with the same hashtag as my jewelry. The bag was made by Dana Buchman. At this point, I just need to know what year it was made. And if I do not find the answer on the year I am okay with it because I am more focus on who made it.
