This is a HAMMOND POLO alarm clock, an example of one of the most popular (of several) "chrome" styles of HAMMOND clocks. Its simple arched shape sits atop two small feet and is accented with a black band across its bottom, it is about 4-3/4" wide and stands about 5-1/2" tall. Its face is accented with a pale blue band bearing its numbers on a (now) beige-ish background -- the beige-ish paint has now rather uniformly crazed and crinkled (to the point of starting to flake off completely, just barely) for some unknown reason (bad batch of paint?) which I do *not* believe was an original design feature. (though it now looks kinda cool anyway...adds "character"...?? <lol>)

On its backside there is a stamping in black ink reading "JUN 25" [XX?] with another stamping in red ink reading "INSP" atop it/at its end, *perhaps* obscuring the 'year' portion of the date stamp if it in fact was there -- it sorta looks now like there *could have been* something else in black under the red, but I can't tell if it was more numbers or just some random smudge/spot on the metal.

This clock remains in original fully operational condition, but I don't leave it plugged in because it occasionally runs slightly noisier than it should -- no doubt after ~90yrs I should probably open it up and give it a few drops of fresh oil, so it'd be ready to run *another* 90 yrs...?? <lol>

Please see also my other (mostly) recent posts of several other HAMMOND clock models, for further information and links which give much more 'backstory' of HAMMOND clocks in general.
