I bought this lens and I have no idea as to the mount it is. perhaps someone can tell what type of camera it will work on. ? thanks in advance.

sigma made them for all camera.. 24mm,.. nice wide Len's but not to wide ... good for low light ...1:28 speed ..and fast.. do the blades open and close .. any fungus when looking through the lens...or scratches ...Should all ways look them over good and use a flash light if 'en ya got one ...smiling I'll go out on a limb and say a canon...cant really tell do to the angle of the shot ....

M42 lenses have threads on them, which I have 5 of them mostly 's takumar's..these arn't threaded in less my eyes $hit the bed on me ...lol Vynil33rpm, Canon has Styles: EF Lenses, L Series Lenses, EF-S Lenses, STM Lenses, which Sigma makes lens for but I never found Sigma Quality all that great..
Now that you posted more and better pic's I can tell its a....lol Pentax's K-Mount lens
you can by a adapter for this to make it fit most other cameras ..
