I have been wanting one of these for years! I read somewhere that D & E paid big money for the glass dangle beads from Germany, making these pieces very expensive. There is a forest green set, and I've seen a bracelet with topaz dangles. But for me, it's RUBY RED all the way. The very kind lady that sold me this brooch for a fraction of it's worth has been collecting for 35 years! I can't wait to wear it!

Thank you for the very kind words Broochman....
It is pretty nice, huh? :)

Thanks Jenni, I was floored when I "snagged" this up for such a modest price!
Doesn't happen very often, but when it does, sure makes my day!

Phil, your comments always make me feel like I did good. However, my photography isn't up to par, the rs's are not blue, they are "black diamond". I have to admit they do look blue,I guess the reflection caused the blue hue to come out. Either way, I so appreciate your compliment!

MrsT., always there with a kind word, I thank you so.

Alan, you are right. Quite complex as it is two tier and there are 5 different sizes of red stones! I call these pieces "works of art".

      Maureen, look who's talking! :)
When you posted that KTF Red & Ice waffle glass leaf brooch a couple years ago, I nearly fell out of my seat ! Museum quality pieces are what you post, my dear!
I do thank you for the lovely compliment!

Yes Mary, Red jewelry is hard to beat, but we'll take it in most any color, will we not? Ha!
      Thank you my friend!

And thank you for all the loves, dears! :)

Hi Eileen, I thought I would return the compliment and stop by my favorite in your collection. I love this brooch because of the fabulous dangles. Known among the curators as a girandole style it refers to the drops, which are usually 3 but you have 5 fabulous ones. This is so over the top luxurious. I just droll at it's magnificence.
      Happy Easter, Maureen

      Girandole—-a new term!
      Thanks Maureen!
These pieces by D & E are pricey, but worth every penny. I found the bracelet to this just yesterday, problem, ( with most) some of the glass drops were missing. Try and replace those? No thanks, I will....just keep looking!
