Hi y'all,
Just thought I'd post a little vintage wood burning project I did of my profile name, Shareurpassion. The Harley Davidson ceramic logo I painted was already there, so I used the same nail to hang this on. It's in it's early stages and done with cheap tools, but that is soon to be a whole different thing. I will be getting the high grade tools soon that are made right here in the good ol' USA. Can't wait to create some awesome artwork that can be done with the tools to come.
The second photo is a sign I did for the Veterans Hospital, they wanted one that had "EMS Breakroom' on it and it just didn't sit right with me, so I changed it to say "EMS Lounge" instead. (EMS=Emergency Medical Services) Someone had brought the wood to me, which was definitely the wrong type of wood to use for wood burning unless you have a grip of experience and maybe not even them, so I did the best I could with it. The cheap tools prevented me from shading it properly too. Come to find out, everyone loved it! Of course, I wouldn't allow them to pay me, it's the least I could do to say thank you to our service men and women. I hope the whole photo shows. I used the "Keep on Truckin'" guy from the 70's...remember him everyone?

Thanks Newfld, honestly I don't think they are that great but they'll pass. i'm very critical of myself and with this type of art, there is no changing it after it's done! On second thought, I think I do like the imperfections... It's all good, right?!

I just saw this, thank you Ms Mani! I think that's the second piece I did. I do love doing them tho and I did one that simply had the word "KEYS" on it for someone with the little hooks on it too and another one with a guys name, his dates of service over a "wavy" flag. Did I say all that up in the post??? lol I'm doing one of those vintage letter holders that hang on the wall with the wooden "pockets' for mail for my daughter. I'll be starting that soon. I still haven't gotten the good tools yet but I will. Thanks for stopping in!!! xoxo
