In my third entry into the catalogue of C.C.R., I wish to Dedicate this to all Vietnam War Veterans...no Holiday needed.....
'Fortunate Son' And 'Down On The Corner' on the flip.
    1969...Fantasy Lable.

"Some Folks Are Born..Made To Wave The Flag..Ooh..Their Red, White And Blue..And When The Band Plays "Hail To The Chief"..They Point The Cannon Right At You....."
    "It Ain't Me, It Ain't Me..I Ain't No Senators Son..It Ain't Me, It Ain't Me..I Ain't No Fortunate One...."
"Some Folks Are Born..Silver Spoon In Hand..Lord Don't They Help Themselves..But When The Tax Man Comes To The Door..Lord, The House Looks Like A Rummage Sale....."
    (REPEAT CHORUS)
"Some Folks Inherit Star Spangled Eyes..Ooh They Send You Down To War..And When You Ask Them..How Much Should We Give?..They Only Answer More! More! More!......
    (REPEAT CHORUS)
    (CODA)

The two lighters you see are Zippos with the depiction of a distressed Flag on the right and one that has a world map etched on it using both sides. The etching is very finely done, so seeing it clearly is more easily done by moving it in your hand, pics will do no justice.

    Thank You,
    Thomas.

Fortunate Son! I played this LOUD and PROUD when Bush 2 stole the presidency. There was a street protest that day, and they loved hearing this from my window Hey, how else can we complain without getting arrested?

I used this song as it was meant to be used. It's a protest song. And, I am from the Vietnam era.

Valentino, You hit the nail on the head! This Song was actually a protest against one of the Eisonhower family, I believe David, the son of 'Ike'. His father was a senator at the time and supposedly Daviv escaped the draft??? "I Ain't Know Senators Son....."!! Thank you here!!

Yougottohavestuff, Your service to our country, I am indebted..Alot of the drugs was there purposely, not by us, but them. They felt if they could 'Cloud' Our minds, then we couldn't fight. If I'm not mistaken, drugs killed more than bullets did??

Were you there?? I should not say that!!! They used opium and weed as it was a part of their culture. A 90 year old Papa-son working for us unloading supplies used to smoke opium thru a flare tube, you would see him winding down like a clock!! and ask to smoke another hit!!! and back to unloading!!! I asked him thru an interpreter why he worked so hard and the Baby-sons didn't. He Said they just liked to get high!!!
      I guess you are right!!!
