This tome has over 800 pages in it. It has Warhol at his best and worst. I lived in NYC - lower east side back in the early 80s and i knew some of these people. I did not really like Andy because i thought he was really mean to people sometimes. But i've come to appreciate him for what he was. it comes across loud and clear in his diaries. I wonder if it's a rare book?

Andy lived a life of messy excess but, separating the art from the artist, he changed the way the whole world thought about art. He deserves credit for that.
      Good book, BTW.

i agree artfoot. but he was awful towards people with HIV! and he could be such a nasty queen in some ways.
