Found this in the bottom of a box my Dad had. Made by the J.C.Terry company in Springfield Massachusetts. It is brass with a metal screw piece and is approximately 9 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide. There are grooves on the inside section & a hole in the silver metal just below the upper handle. I know that Terry did make handguns in the 1860's, but this looked newer to me. Any help identifying this would be great !

This tool is a threading die holder. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Clock-Watch-TAP-SET-7-1-2-Long-Card-Mgf/150639604895?_trkparms=aid%3D333203%26algo%3DCOMP.CATFILTER%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D56585%26meid%3Dd423ccd530c14763a9ef109ff42a3c9c%26pid%3D100008%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D202624343598%26itm%3D150639604895&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219 This link is for one on ebay now.

Thank you slackjack!!! My Dad always had so many antique clocks, so no surprise. He was a draftsman so that was my first thought. I'll have to look & see if there are any other parts laying around.
