This was a Lonestar Beer Poster given to me in the mid 1990s by the son of the founder of Lakeport Breweries in Hamilton, Ontario. Lakeport had been just licensed by Lonestar in the U.S. to brew Lonestar Beer in Ontario, and this was the first promotional poster to be put out by Lakeport to promote their new line (Lonestar) from the U.S. giant. Unfortunately, at the time, Ontario's prudish Liquor License Board rejected the advertising and Lakeport was not permitted to use it. I'm not quite sure how many were ever made up in advance, but I was lucky enough to be given one, and have held onto it for about 20 years now. Anybody else have one?? I'd love to know.
