I pick this up for three hours at a thrift store very heavy and it’s metal but painted white. Any information on the kind and where I can find the maker would be great.

Why did it take 3hrs to "pick up" -- is it really *that* heavy?? ;-)
Otherwise it looks like a pretty typical (and fuggly, my NSHO only) 1960/70's-ish table lamp...if there aren't any remaining marks/labels on it to suggest its maker, it'd probably be a difficult/impossible search for any further specific info.
