Found this brass lamp that was being thrown out and I had to save it. It was in very poor shape but you could still see the beauty. All I know is that the marble is from Italy. I know it’s not good to restore but it was black with water damage

It is probably from Italy in the early 1970's when they had a large import export of lamps and yes they used faily good grades of marble on ssome of the lamps. Lamps with tables built in were popular then. On a rare occasionI found a very rare black marble with gold veins top on a poor plaster table so I got it for top piece of spectactacular it just for rhe 24 inch beveled top which sas stamped Italy.
