Two butter yellow celluloid bangles with faint paint designs, circa 1920's. I found them recently online for $3 each. What makes these unique? They are nice hollow tube bracelets, yet well made and strong. I wouldn't test it this way, but for example, drop them on the wood floor? No damage. Bakelite bangles can drop 12" and shatter. Please don't test your items this way LOL. They are thick 1/2" wide and deep with 2-5/8" and 2.85" openings.
In the 2nd picture I show them with a 30's black bakelite and 70's Leah Stein type fab lucite bangle. Modelled by the lovely Hannah's hand. Comments appreciated and thank you for looking.

Geez Mary....
To think these are a century old! And they couldn't have found a better home.
I learned from you celluloid is the oldest of the "plastics".
Amazing pair, my dear!
And the black bakelite is nothing to sneeze at, your collection is superb!!
Beautiful vintage bangles, and amazing condition for age
Thanks Eileen! I think the larger one was worn on the upper arm. The other one seems to be hollow and has warped a little. I'm like that too hee hee hee.
