1930’s electric eye bear

Picked him today.. a electric eye bear from the 1930’s. At first I thought some one put bulbs in his eyes.. them I searched around and too my surprise he’s a actual batter op bear.. I guess it was a fad back in the 30’s to have the eyes light up.. it’s had a hard loving life. The eyes are in tact ... fur is worn and has a droopy eye.. it’s about 12 inches tall ...still has its battery container inside and holds one batter...poor thing now is loved again...
