This 2" rabbit brooch has a smoky blue rhinestone body accented with faux turquoise stone flowers & one red cab eye, on goldtone. By Marcel Boucher (1937-1971)

This is lovely- he's so cute! My aunt has LOADS of these guys living in the field beside her house and all the time they can be seen in this pose which looks like he's just done washing his face with his paws and is just going to clean down his ears- and the slightly lopped over ear on this brooch is a nice touch! :P

Lauren I would love to see your aunt's wild bunnies, I had a white pet one for a time as a little girl, then a few yrs ago we had wild brown bunnies in our neighborhood and were they adorable, loved their hopping & twitchy noses! This Boucher rabbit is quite lively and does appear to have been washing with his lopsided ears, thank you as always for the wonderful words & imagery
Lol Eileen, that is a great rabbit quote, I seem to remember either it was the March hare or a rabbit in Alice in Wonderland (I just loved the Tim Burton movie version of that story), remind me if I'm wrong. Yes I love my Boucher pieces esp the animals, this was another rare find - sometimes when you do a 'net search on Boucher these beautiful animals esp rare birds come up, they are either not on the market or astronomically priced so I can't get them.
