Marius Sørensen silver brooch found yesterday at Lifeline. I took a punt and paid a fair price for this brooch because I could make out the word “Sterling” with my loupe and because of its beautiful form. I have plans for it because a couple of friends have decade birthdays shortly. I’ve been on the look out for something ‘nice’ and this fits the bill. At home I used a cotton bud to reveal a bit more about the mark and noticed the Denmark MS beneath the 925. It had the Scandinavian look at the shop and my hunch was confirmed.
Marius Sørensen of Thisted. He worked from 1895 to 1957 I think. Thisted is a town in the municipality of Thisted in the north of Denmark.
