    I can't seem to identify this pop gun found sealed inside the wall of my 1880s house, it was one of many mystery objects I uncovered

      I wouldn't be to quick to call it an antique. I had the same thing in the 50's and it was new. The age of the house doesn't have a bearing on anything found in it. Being in the wall could have happened anytime someone remodeled.

      It does have dates on it, from the 1880s

      Agree-- looks to be 20th century item.
