Hi Mr. Thomas thank you very much for your comment sir I have never heard that name but I will go look it up now. Do you recommend anywhere to go to get a value or find out more about it like if it has a name or theme. It was such an unusual piece that I feel in love with the minute I saw it but I have no experience in art pieces at all I just buy what I like. You are a rare gem or for sharing that info sir I appreciate you very much.

Don't think it's that Munch. Not his style. Not his skills. Some amateur. Sorry.

thank you all for your comments, I went and searched google for that name and I found a signature that sure does look like the same one, would someone mind checking it out and give me your thoughts at your convenience.

The other thing I noticed is that the way he does the nose on his pieces, when I compared the shape of the noses and the eyes on examples available they sure do have a resemblance. You guys have much more experience than me and I am not trying to disagree by any means it is just strange how similar these three things are to this artist you mention and just wanted to get your feedback, y'all rock thank you so much!

Signatures are easy copied. So don't pay too much attention to them. It's much more difficult to copy an artist's style and technique. That's where the copycat reveals himself.

hi golgatha thank you very much sir for your advice I have no knowledge in pieces like this so I am very interested in learning more. I think that is why I feel confused about this piece because when you look at the facial features on his other pieces of work it looks just like his style, I mean the shapes of the eyes, the nose and the side profile views from what I could tell by comparing all of them to each other, do you see the resemblance or is just my inexperience? I really am trying to learn so I am very appreciative for your time and feedback sir, thanks again

Look carefully at all the Munch paintings you can find on the Internet. Then you'll notice that real Munch paintings a much more expressive, while your pastel has an emphasis on pure decoration.
