One of the darkest period of Polish history.
A passport issued in Warsaw and valid for single journey to Monaco. The holder could not return to Poland trough Germany, so he made a desperate request for a Yugoslavian and Romanian visas in Paris. He crossed the border in Sniatyn on the September 2nd 1939.
The day after the war had broke out. Passport contains German transit visa, which was issued about two weeks before German invasion of Poland.
