A lovely French trunk with marvellous brass locks. Was covered in drab brown canvas... did I mention the locks... yes the locks... with the dust covers or keyhole covers. When you collect a certain type of thing an unusual feature is always a welcome surprise. I removed a few brass buttons from back and front and replaced missing ones at the top.

That's a cool find T-man. Like the key hole covers, very different.

Very nice, Trunkman. I removed canvas from a trunk, and I know how tedious it can be. I love the look of the wood. You always do such a beautiful job.

You know me Tman, not real big on European trunks a little on the bland side for me, that being said I like it, especially the double brass locks, often the lock or locks are the money shot on a trunk as they are on this one, very nice and as always a fantastic job, greendog.

Thanks greendog... I’m with you on this. There is on this trunk a simplistic beauty that is highlighted by the high quality lock. Too bad the front panel brass buttons are missing... they would have added to overall effect. Thanks for your input.. always appreciated!
