      Vynil33rpm, That kind of problem has been around for a long time, although a well-t0-do person like Reid dying from it was probably somewhat unusual.

      Saxophonist Stan Getz also was an addict, but was probably prevented from dying that way by some combination of luck and wealth. Then again, he did die of liver cancer, and the liver is the human body's major filter...
